Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ensemble I started, I will be a guest soloist. I will be playing a new work by Francis Kayali for solo flute and flute choir. The Woodbridge Flute Choir has performed at the Kennedy Center, The White House and numerous national flute conventions, setting the standard for choirs around the world! Present conductor, Debbie Gilbert, will be recognizing all of the conductors who have worked with the group over the last 20 years. Under Debbie's direction the ensemble has produced a highly acclaimed CD of original works for flute choir.

Russell Nadel, (Springfield, VA) The original scores musically bring to life the beauty of the land and the culture of Canada's people, storytelling through song, painting sound via special effects, a collection of dances, and celebration of the coming of age. All of the works will be featured on Rebecca's up-coming album,  "Poems and Dreams."

I will be giving a world premiere of "Que me veut le Chevalier" for C flute, alto flute, bass flute and piano composed by Francis Kayali. This creative work explores traditional and non-traditional sounds based on an old French song. The flute part requires playing multiphonics (chords), singing, key clicks and more surprises! Francis Kayali will be on the piano which will also be played in non-traditional ways.

The 2015 Back Cove Contemporary Music Festival at PCM will be held from April 10th through 12th at Woodford’s Church. This year we have an outstanding list of contributing composers, most of whom will be in attendance at the festival. Begun in 2009 by world-renowned composer and Bowdoin College Professor Emeritus Elliott Schwartz, this festival, in Elliott’s words, “…[is] a real testament to the health of the new music scene in Maine…there is a huge variety of styles…[and] there will be something for everyone.”

Rebecca Jeffreys and Molly Lozeau present GOLDEN, an original work for alto flute and piano written by Jeffrey Hoover. This performance marks the world premiere of this work which is a collaboration between the three musicians. Jeffrey Hoover, Director of Integrated Arts at University of Baltimore, wrote this work with Rebecca and Molly in mind and features an original painting  by Jeffrey which will be projected during the concert. Other works on the program are by American composers, Charles Ives, Bill Douglas and Gary Schocker.
